Job Title: Compliance Manager

Location: Beijing, China

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team in Beijing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience dealing with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to apply for the Type 9 license. This role is crucial for ensuring our firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting our fundraising activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the company and eventually take on responsibilities related to legislative issues for our fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the application process for the Type 9 license with the SFC.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Monitor and report on compliance issues and developments.
  • Collaborate with legal and other departments to address compliance concerns.
  • Support the firm's fundraising activities by ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience dealing with the SFC and applying for the Type 9 license.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
