Job Summary:
The Director of Healthcare Economics and Provider Contracting leads payor contract negotiations and performs analytics to optimize financial outcomes. This role combines strategic contracting with payors and data-driven modeling to enhance provider agreements, manage costs, and improve financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead payor contract negotiations and align strategies with financial goals.
- Perform economic modeling and analytics to inform contract terms and improve cost management.
- Monitor contract performance, track financial metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and clinical teams to assess financial impacts and recommend strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with payors and providers to ensure effective contract implementation.
Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in healthcare economics, provider contracting, and reimbursement models.
- Strong data analytics and financial modeling skills (Excel, PowerBI, SQL).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare economics or provider contracting.
- Proven success in negotiating payer contracts and implementing value-based models.
