A leading global macro fund seeking a dynamic and proactive Senior Engineer to join their lean technology team. This front-office role involves ground-up development to enhance and build technology leveraged by the business to gain market advantage. The ideal candidate will support stakeholders like Traders, Analysts, and PMs through the development of various technologies in Excel/VBA and C#/.Net.
This role provides the unique opportunity to work on greenfield initiatives including data ingestion, automation, and pre-trade efforts such as pricing or modeling platform development. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance models for the investment team using advanced Excel add-ins.
- Develop and oversee applications in C#/.NET and Excel, ensuring seamless integration with various data and analytics tools.
- Partner with investment and technology teams through all phases of the SDLC.
- Provide support to investment teams for Excel and other tech related issues.
- Implement and manage automation solutions within Excel.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Expertise in C#, Excel add-ins, and database integration.
- Extensive experience in creating Excel-based solutions, analytics models, and risk assessments for front office investment teams.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and engaging personality.
- Over 5 years of experience in financial institutions or related software development.
- Strong knowledge of front office ecosystem and financial services industry.
- Experience in managing issues in large-scale, distributed systems.
- Degree in Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
