Title - Workers Compensation Production Underwriter
Location - Remote, USA
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and create premium quotations utilizing underwriting guidelines
- Decides underwriting eligibility for prospective policyholders and develops appropriate pricing for new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Analyzes and reviews prospective accounts for insurability and accepts or rejects within letter of authority
- Create and maintain agency relationships
- Addresses agent & policyholder concerns/needs
- In charge of development of new business, profitability and retention of existing business in a given territory
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in insurance underwriting
- Highly demonstrated technical knowledge in Workers Compensation underwriting
- Must be able to evaluate & determine the proper pricing for prospective policyholders using underwriting guidelines by accepting or rejecting risks
- Ability to maintain agency relationships
- Ability to calculate expected pricing, dividends, and premium quotations for agents and policyholders
- Ability to analyze territory in order to identify problems and take the appropriate corrective action
- MGA Experience, Startup Experience, HubSpot Experience preferred
