Private Credit Associate Position Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Credit Associate to join the dynamic team in Miami. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis, financial modeling, and market research, with a passion for private credit and investment strategies. As an Associate, you will support senior investment professionals in evaluating potential investments, conducting due diligence, and managing existing portfolio companies. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the private credit investment process and have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our firm.
Private Credit Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of private credit transactions, including senior secured loans, mezzanine financing, and structured credit investments.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation of potential investments.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to support investment decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, pitch materials, and client presentations.
- Support due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements, legal documentation, and operational performance.
- Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, including financial reporting, covenant compliance, and risk management.
- Build relationships with lenders, borrowers, and other stakeholders in the private credit ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure successful execution and management of investments.
Private Credit Associate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in private credit, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and financial modeling techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg and other financial databases is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and effective presentations and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
