A large life insurance company is looking to hire a VP onto their Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team. Looking for someone to be responsible for actuarial aspects of modeling and due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures of the enterprise. This is a hybrid role based out of NJ. Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day project management of actuarial aspects of M&A projects
- Development of projections under local statutory, Purchase GAAP and US GAAP accounting frameworks
- Perform actuarial and related due diligence covering reserve adequacy, product and pricing evaluations, determination of appropriate assumptions, reinsurance programs, evaluation of existing models, actuarial appraisals
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of actuarial/insurance experience
- M&A transaction-related experience, reinsurance and or new initiative modeling experience
- FSA designation preferred
- Broad and detailed knowledge of various valuation methods for insurance companies
