Selby Jennings are currently working with a leading global insurance company specialising in providing comprehensive coverage solutions for small to mid-sized businesses.
The client is seeking for an experienced Senior Warranty and Indemnity Underwriter to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting warranty and indemnity insurance policies, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines. You will report directly to the Lead Sales Manager, who oversees property, warranty, casualty, and specialty risks. This role will primarily focus on clients based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite warranty and indemnity insurance policies.
- Assess risks and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored insurance solutions for clients.
- Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients and brokers on warranty and indemnity matters.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in warranty and indemnity underwriting or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of warranty and indemnity (W&I) products.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting software.
