About the Role:
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Underwriter to join their innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial property insurance policies in line with established guidelines. You will assess risk factors, set appropriate pricing and coverage terms, and work closely with agents, brokers, and internal teams to create effective underwriting strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite commercial property insurance policies according to established guidelines.
- Assess risk factors and establish suitable pricing and coverage terms.
- Collaborate with agents, brokers, and internal teams to assess risks and formulate underwriting strategies.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations, market trends, and emerging risks.
- Enhance and refine underwriting policies and procedures.
- Mentor junior underwriters and assist with complex risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 4-8+ years of experience in commercial property underwriting.
- In-depth knowledge of risk assessment techniques, pricing models, and coverage structures.
- Ability to balance risk management with business growth goals.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
