About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Actuary to join a leading consulting firm in the industry. This is a unique opportunity to not only apply your technical actuarial expertise but also collaborate with top-tier leaders across various business units on high-impact consulting projects. As a Senior Manager, you will have a direct role in shaping the future of the healthcare industry through projects focused on pricing, reserving, financial projections, and, most importantly, Medicare bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage actuarial consulting projects, with a focus on pricing, reserving, financial projections, and Medicare bids.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients.
- Serve as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders and provide guidance on complex actuarial issues.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and professional growth within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to consulting projects and recommendations.
- Deliver clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent actuarial designation.
- 8+ years of Health Actuary experience, 3+ years of direct Medicare Bid experience.
- Proven track record in leading actuarial teams and managing complex client relationships.
- Strong technical skills in actuarial modeling and analysis, with experience in pricing, reserving, and financial projections.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
