Selby Jennings is partnered with a renowned financial services firm, currently working on filling a Senior Engineer on their OFSAA (Oracle Financial System Analytical Application) development team in their St. Petersburg, FL, headquarters. An ideal candidates is one that knows OFSAA development inside and out, has experience in data migration (especially Oracle to AWS), and has at minimum five YOE.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance current applications and assist in creating new ones by evaluating and pinpointing areas for modification and enhancement.
- Evaluate system requirements, identifying program interactions and suitable interfaces between affected components and subsystems.
- Convert business requirements into OFSAA designs and map data elements from sources to the OFSAA data model.
- Monitor, detect, and resolve complex software defects to ensure fully operational application software.
- Draft and/or review system specifications, including output requirements and flowcharts.
- Design and conduct tests for website/application software and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance issues.
- Ensure thorough analysis of problems and programming approaches to avoid rework and delays.
- Recommend the development of new code or the reuse of existing code.
- Potentially lead assigned projects, including task assignment, effort coordination, and performance monitoring.
- Suggest new technologies and methodologies to management to meet business needs, solve problems, and seize opportunities. Stay updated with new technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience independently analyzing data from various sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Has developed software using programming languages without supervision, offering technical guidance when required.
- Has monitored, diagnosed, and resolved technological issues independently, providing technical support as necessary.
- At minimum five YOE in designing, developing, and supporting data-driven applications, covering all aspects of the SDLC in scalable multi-tier environments.
- Knowledge of OFSAA Architecture and Data Model.
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, and other database objects.
- Experienced in ETL and data flow principles, including extracting and loading data from source systems into the OFSAA platform.
- Skilled in designing and developing OFSAA technical and business metadata, such as T2T, DT, DQ, PMF, and GL Recon.
- Familiar with Java, J2EE, and REST API is preferred.
- Proficient in Unix and Shell scripting.
- Experienced with job scheduling tools like BMC Control-M and Autosys.
- Knowledgeable in regulatory reporting, particularly CECL and CCAR, is a plus.
- Experienced in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Reporting.
- Preferably has experience in financial services or enterprise-level environments.
