Overview: Our client, one of Boston's longest tenured private asset managers, is looking for a motivated Senior Data Engineer to join their Enterprise Data team to develop and support critical data processing and warehousing applications
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing Python and SQL solutions
- Proficiency with data collection, data wrangling, visualizations, and ETL.
- Migrating existing systems to the cloud
- Implementing best practices in data modeling and access patterns for cost-efficiency and high performance
- Maintaining an Azure Synapse Enterprise Data Warehouse
Qualifications:
- 2-5 YOE in programming with SQL and Python
- Experience and/or passion for working in financial services
- Familiarity with enterprise applications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Value Added (but not required):
- Experience with Azure data platforms (Synapse, SQL Database, Data Factory and Data Lake)
- Experience working with data (files, rest APIs, databases) in Python
