My client, a leading proprietary trading firm is looking to bring on a Senior Clearing Associate to join their team. The Clearing team ensures seamless trading operations across various global venues and clearing firms. This team works closely with sales, software engineers, and technical support to expand our trading business.
They are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in financial operations, management, and business analysis to join their Clearing team in Chicago. You will handle daily clearing tasks, support new business initiatives, and enhance back-office systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily clearing tasks (trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation, issue resolution)
- Support the introduction of new business (products, markets, strategies, brokers)
- Improve and develop back-office systems
- Identify and address process inefficiencies
- Develop and refine written procedures
- Communicate with counterparties, brokers, traders, and internal teams
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience, with management experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields
- In-depth knowledge of post-trade processes (Equities, Treasuries, Futures, FX, Options, Swaps)
- Experience managing external relationships (vendors, brokers, banks)
- Strong project management and business analysis skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle large data volumes under time constraints
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
- Reliable and consistent availability
