We are currently engaged with a top-tier macro hedge fund to find a Senior Portfolio Strategist. This front-office role offers significant exposure, working directly with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and the Investment team, focusing on portfolio construction and risk-adjusted returns across various asset classes. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping investment strategies in a high-performing, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CRO and Investment team to provide insights on portfolio construction, risk management, and asset allocation.
Conduct in-depth portfolio analysis and advise on strategies to maximize risk-adjusted returns.
Act as an advisor to senior traders, providing guidance on market dynamics and portfolio adjustments.
Develop and refine portfolio risk models, ensuring alignment with the fund's macro strategy.
Analyze cross-asset market trends (rates, FX, equities, credit, commodities, and mortgages) to identify risks and opportunities.
Lead special projects to enhance portfolio efficiency, analytics, and risk management practices.
Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in a front-office role specializing in portfolio strategy or market risk at a macro hedge fund or Tier 1 investment bank.
Proven expertise in portfolio construction and advising traders in complex macro environments.
Cross-asset class experience is highly desirable (rates, FX, equities, credit, commodities, mortgages).
Strong quantitative skills and experience in portfolio risk modeling.
