Power Congestion Trader
Summary
I am currently partnered with an energy trading firm that is looking to onboard a Power Congestion Trader to their team. Your role will be to help further develop our trading strategies with a concentration on congestion opportunities. The successful candidate will have thorough experience and understanding of power flow models. You will have access to a variety of data subscriptions along with Dayzer and Powerworld (not limited to).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative models for power congestion trading
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of models and trading strategies
- Work closely with the Quant Team to develop and execute trades
- Analyze and interpret large data sets to identify trading opportunities
- Monitor market conditions and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful implementation of trading strategies

- Proficiency in any programming language
- Strong understanding of power flow models
