Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FCAS Actuary with a strong background in construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing risks associated with construction projects, developing pricing models, and providing strategic insights to support our clients and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction projects, including evaluating potential liabilities and exposures.
- Develop and refine pricing models for construction-related insurance products.
- Analyze historical data and industry trends to forecast future risks and financial impacts.
- Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and other stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Provide actuarial support for the development of new insurance products tailored to the construction industry.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Mentor and train junior actuarial staff.
Qualifications:
- FCAS designation required.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience, with a focus on construction insurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
