Position Overview: Seeking an experienced and results-driven Investment Director to lead efforts within the UK SME market, with a specific focus on EIS and VCT investments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our investment strategy and will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities that align with our mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the investment strategy and portfolio management for UK SMEs, with a strong focus on companies eligible for EIS and VCT investments.
- Build and maintain a strong network within the UK SME ecosystem, connecting with entrepreneurs, advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and assess investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and negotiate investment terms.
- Collaborate with the investment team to structure and manage investments, monitoring portfolio companies' performance and providing strategic guidance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements pertaining to EIS and VCT investments.
- Contribute to the development and execution of fundraising activities for EIS and VCT funds.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and changes in legislation related to EIS and VCT programs.
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant equity investment experience.
- A proven track record of successfully leading and managing equity deals.
- Experience working with and supporting the growth of SMEs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen.
