Department: Investment Banking - Equity Capital Markets
Job Summary: The Director/Managing Director of Investment Banking - Equity Capital Markets will be responsible for leading and managing the ECM division, focusing on equity offerings, IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ECM, strong client relationships, and a proven track record of successful transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage the ECM team, providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Mentor and develop junior bankers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry contacts and market knowledge.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ECM transactions.
- Transaction Execution:
- Oversee the execution of equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements.
- Lead the preparation of pitch books, financial models, and transaction documents.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
- Monitor industry developments and competitive landscape to inform business strategy.
- Financial Performance:
- Achieve revenue and profitability targets for the ECM division.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on equity capital markets.
- Proven track record of successful transaction execution and client relationship management.
- Experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving business growth.
