Department: Investment Banking - Equity Capital Markets
Job Summary: The Equity Capital Markets Associate/Vice President will be responsible for supporting the ECM team in executing equity offerings, IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements. This role requires a professional with strong analytical skills, client relationship management experience, and a solid understanding of equity capital markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Support:
- Assist in the execution of equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements.
- Prepare pitch books, financial models, and transaction documents.
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis to support transaction execution.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Support senior bankers in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing insights and recommendations.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Monitor industry developments and competitive landscape to inform business strategy.
- Prepare market updates and reports for internal and client use.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior bankers, legal, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the ECM division.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on equity capital markets.
- Proven track record of supporting successful transaction execution and client relationship management.
- Experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving business growth (for VP level).
