Position Overview:
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the actuarial department, contributing to the development and maintenance of actuarial models for life insurance products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the actuarial models, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial models using GGY-Axis for various life insurance products, including but not limited to term life, whole life, and annuities.
- Collaborate with product development teams to design and implement new life insurance products, incorporating actuarial modeling best practices.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of actuarial data and provide insights to inform pricing, reserving, and risk management strategies.
- Participate in peer reviews and validation processes to ensure model accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and present reports and findings to senior management, assisting in strategic decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging best practices in actuarial science.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- ASA or Near ASA designation is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of actuarial experience, with a strong focus on modeling using GGY-Axis for life products.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., GGY-Axis, SQL, R, Python) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
