Role Overview:
As part of our team, you will provide hands-on technical leadership and ownership for major infrastructure projects, particularly in our HPC infrastructure. You will oversee the successful implementation of new compute, storage, and network infrastructure, support and troubleshoot high-performance network infrastructure, including the latest InfiniBand and Ethernet technology, and leverage automation skills with a DevOps approach to improve efficiency in solving complex network infrastructure issues, network management, and maintenance of applications.
You will be expected to demonstrate high energy, be results-driven, and work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines. Other duties as assigned or needed.
Skills You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in tackling complex problems involving people, technology, and processes.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work well as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.
Good Judgment: Ability to evaluate short and long-term impacts and make confident decisions with full responsibility for the results.
Vendor Experience: Experience working with major IT vendors to troubleshoot and resolve both implementation issues and break-fix activities independently.
Project Planning: Experience in project planning, including using automated tools for deployment and collaborating with other teams.
High Standards: Extremely high personal standards for work quality.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support a global engineering team.
Networking Knowledge: Experience with networking concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting (CCNA qualification or equivalent experience preferred).
Programming Skills: Experience programming in Python or similar languages.
Linux Proficiency: Experience working at the command line of Linux systems for basic system troubleshooting.
Config Management: Experience with open-source config management systems such as Puppet.
Data Center Planning: Experience planning for space, power, and structured cabling within a data center environment.
