Commercial Lines Account Manager
Our client is hiring for a Commercial Lines Account Manager in their Trenton, NJ office. They are a family-owned independent insurance agency based in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with operations around the world. They offer a comprehensive suite of insurance solutions, including commercial, personal, life, and health insurance. They help clients manage their risk, improve policies, and promote safety and profitability within their organization and are known for their employee's long tenure, the growth opportunities they offer, and the work life balance among their employees. This is a hybrid role after 90 days on-site for training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a book of business, including policy renewals, changes, proofs of insurance, contract reviews, and client on-boarding.
- Process renewals, obtain quotations, analyze coverage changes, prepare proposals, and bind coverage.
- Prepare marketing submissions and work closely with the marketing department.
- Educate clients, initiate referrals, and recommend enhanced or new coverage.
- Handle client requests professionally and empathetically.
- Follow agency service standards and processes.
- Independently manage routine client servicing.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Provide clear responses on coverage or billing questions.
- Accompany producers on client visits as needed.
- Participate in educational programs and maintain professional designations.
- Follow agency E&O guidelines.
- Attend and participate in department and company meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid NJ Property/Casualty/Life/Health Licenses, as applicable.
- 3-5 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience.
- Professional insurance designation(s).
- Experience with Applied Systems Epic.
