As the Business Development Manager based in Shanghai, you will play a crucial role in expanding my client's APAC presence by selling our data research and management products to asset managers, hedge funds, and other investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Create new leads and utilize those from our content marketing and events.
- Client Development: Deliver tailored pitches and represent the company at events.
- Pipeline Management: Manage sales opportunities from lead generation to closure.
- APAC Representation: Build and maintain relationships with investment clients in the region, addressing local market needs and communicating with headquarters.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in sales, preferably in data, research, or software for financial services.
- Network: Established connections with buy-side firms in China and APAC.
- Track Record: Proven success in meeting sales targets with skills in consultative selling and negotiation.
- Market Knowledge: Understanding of APAC asset management and data needs of portfolio managers and CIOs.
- Education: Degree in Business, Economics, or related field; CAIA or CFA preferred.
- Language: Proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential.
