We are partnered with a leading financial technology firm that is looking for an Annuities Sales Leader to join their team in a hybrid model in Manhattan.

You're an experienced sales leader with deep knowledge of annuities and working with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). You excel at delivering great client experiences, building teams, and scaling operations. You're a strategic problem solver who enjoys speaking with clients and then applying what you learn to improve processes. You have a strong background in developing new markets, crafting sales pitches, and refining sales strategies to meet goals. You've managed sales teams and enjoy being a hands-on leader, working alongside your team as a "player-coach."
About the Role:
You'll lead the Annuities Sales team, working closely with the company's sales and relationship management teams to bring annuities into the RIA space. You'll set the sales strategy, manage a team, and drive the adoption of company Annuities by RIAs. This includes creating messaging, managing outreach efforts, attending conferences, and being the voice of the client within the company. You'll also work directly with RIAs to present and sell Annuities, from high-level presentations to one-on-one meetings with advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Annuities Sales team, setting strategy and overseeing execution.
- Partner with the broader sales team to sell Annuities to RIAs.
- Manage and grow a team of Annuities Sales Specialists, including hiring and coaching.
- Drive sales through outreach efforts, both warm (existing RIAs) and cold (new RIAs).
- Educate and train advisors through group sessions, calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing on sales materials like pitch decks and email campaigns.
- Serve as an expert on Annuities, answering complex client questions.
- Manage the sales pipeline, set goals, and track progress using a CRM system.
- Partner with product and data teams to improve offerings and measure success.
- Travel occasionally for client meetings and conferences (less than 20%).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in insurance sales, including 2+ years in annuities and 2+ years working with wealth management advisors.
- Experience managing a sales team.
- Life insurance license or willingness to obtain one within 60 days.
- Series 7 license or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
