An Insurance Consulting firm is looking to add a Tax Accountant to their Corporate Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience with S-Corp pass-through entity tax and corporate tax knowledge.
**This role will be 5 days in office in Santa Monica, CA.
What you will do…
- Aid in compiling data for timely submission of local, state, and federal tax returns.
- Support in managing and organizing tax-related financial records such as income statements, balance sheets, and ledger accounts.
- Perform financial assessments to uncover possible deductions and credits.
- Stay informed on current tax legislation, regulations, and financial principles.
- Offer guidance and support to Finance team members as necessary, and undertake special assignments as directed by the CFO.
What you will need to be successful…
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a minimum of five years in the accounting field
- Proficient in corporate tax knowledge, with experience in small to mid-market tax preparation
- Expertise in Microsoft products, particularly Excel
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, entities, and tight deadlines
- Possesses excellent problem-solving, analytical, teamwork, organizational, and communication skills. Has Experience with pass-through entity taxes for S-corporations, Deltek, and reporting analysis
- CPA preferred
